Graphic Gap Match

Graphic Gap Match is a technology-enhanced test item type that allows students to drag images onto the appropriate places in another image to indicate their answer.

Notes:

• Graphic Gap Match items cannot be created or edited in Schoolnet. They can only be imported from third parties via the QTI import process by system operators.
• Graphic Gap Match items are supported only in the TestNav online testing platform.
• Graphic Gap Match items can be previewed from Test Detail, Item Detail, or item search results. When Graphic Gap Match items are included in tasks, you can click the item to view a read-only "edit" page.
• Graphic Gap Match items can be added to new or existing tests by searching for an item and adding it to a test (see the steps below). Express tests may automatically add these items if they are used in your system.
• Although Graphic Gap Match items cannot be edited in Schoolnet, they otherwise function like any other item type: they can be scored, printed on student test booklets, previewed, viewed on reports, exported, and so on.
• Embedded HTML content is supported.
• Your system may not support or may not contain Graphic Gap Match items depending on how it is configured.

To find a Graphic Gap Match item type

1. Go to Assessments > Item Banks and click Items for the appropriate bank.
2. Expand Filters at the top left, and then click the Advanced Search at the bottom.
3. Under Item Properties, click the Item Type dropdown, select Graphic Gap Match, and then click OK.
4. Enter any other search criteria, and then click the Search Items button at the bottom of the page.
5. From the Search Results page, you can view items or add items to a test.

You can also add a Graphic Gap Match item to a test during test creation.
