Modify Rubric

You can modify the labels and standards for rubrics that have been added to open response items on a test that is Scheduled, In Progress, or Completed (you can Edit Rubric for items on Draft tests). Modifying a rubric on a test will not affect the original rubric. All other associated test itemsA test question, such as True/False, Matching, Open Response, and so on. Test items can be created in Assessment Admin or imported through the QTI import process. will continue to reflect the original rubric.

To modify rubrics on scheduled tests:

1. Go to Assessments > Find for Tests.
2. Search for the test and click the test name.
3. Click Modify Rubric in the Actions dropdown for the appropriate Open Response item on the Test Details page. This option is limited to only users who have the permissionsUser permissions encompass the assignment of institutions, roles, and operations to users that control their level of access in the system. to modify the tests that are not in draft stages.
4. Modify the row and column labels or standards as needed.
5. Click Save. Only the rubric on the current test is modified. The original rubric in the item bank will not be changed, and other associated items will continue to use the original rubric.
