Add Media to Test Items
You can add images, MP3 audio files, and MP4 video files to test items for online tests. On printed tests, a thumbnail image will represent an audio or video file. Note the following:
- Support for audio and video files may be disabled in your environment.*
- MP3 audio files up to 4 MB are supported.
- MP4 video files up to 7.63 MB are supported (if video is enabled in your system).
- Audio can be played in online tests, test previews, and the relevant student, parent, and teacher pages where test items can be viewed.
- You can add multiple media files to a test item.
- Test booklets for tests that contain images can be printed from the Print or Test Detail page. Images will be resized as needed to fit the test booklet.
- External videos, such as YouTube videos, can be embedded in test items. To embed a video (rather than just link to it), the hyperlink must be inserted into the question with an <iframe> tag using the source code <> button in the Question Content editor. The HTML expression is <iframe src="{URL}"></iframe> along with additional settings you can define for the iframe. The URL should be an embed URL, such as https://www.youtube.com/embed/....
* When audio or video is disabled:
- Audio/video cannot be added to new test items.
- The Import process will reject any test items that contain audio/video.
- Existing test items that contain audio/video will not be modified.
