Create a Test

The Assessments > Create functionality allows test creators to create new tests, items, passages, and rubrics.

You can create one of the following tests or items:

Express Test: Quickest method. Test creators define the initial test setup and standard(s) that will be tested. The system automatically adds items that are aligned to the selected standards and builds the test.
Manual Test: More flexible. Test creators define the initial test setup and find previously created items from the Items Bank or create new items.
Items, Passages and Rubrics: Quick links to create a new item, passage, and rubric. Note: Items and passages that are created on a test are not automatically added to an item bank. In addition, when editing items or passages on a test that are already in a bank, changes are made only for the test -- the bank will not be updated. You can add an item or passage to a bank from Test Detail or Item Detail after a test is Scheduled, In Progress, or Completed.
