Item Statistics

Statistics for test items may display on the Item Detail page, Item Search Results, and the Test Detail page for items that have been used on tests. To view analytic data, test items must align to the system settings that define the behavior for site item statistics and have a minimum of 30 student responses.

• No. of ExposuresRepresents the number of times an item has been used on a test.
• Estimated Response TimeRepresents the average amount of time students took to read and answer a test item on an online test.
• Item MeanThe average score for student responses to an open response or to a multi-part question, which is calculated by dividing the sum of the points earned for the item by the number of students who responded.
• Item Total Score CorrelationThe correlation between the question score and the overall test score which is an indication of the extent to which success on an item corresponds to success on the test.
• N-countThe number of students who responded to an item.
• P-ValueRepresents an index of an item’s difficulty, which is evaluated by dividing the number of correct responses by the number of students who responded to the question.
